Musashino Art University Library in Kodaira-city, Tokyo, designed by Sosuke Fujimoto was opened in 2010. SIRIUS LIGHTING OFFICE laid out the lighting design for this library.
It underwent renovation and its lighting apparatus was replaced with ModuleX LED fixtures.
The library was designed to realize an image of “the nest of books.” A balanced harmony of natural light gently spread through translucent polycarbonate materials and ModuleX’s LED lighting is creating a restful ambience.
ModuleX150 spot lights installed in the room with a ceiling height of 8 meters produce a uniformed luminance on the desk surfaces.
A series of ModuleX150 spot lights not only contribute to improved energy efficiency, but also their LED specific features create highly uniformed illuminance and eliminate uneven coloring, helping to actualize a sense of unity in the library.
