“Black space” crafted through luminance control
ModuleX® was selected for Pizzeria Positano, an Italian restaurant situated along the main approach to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple.
Based on the concept of “wine, Italian cuisine, and wood-fired pizza in Narita,” this locally beloved restaurant features a chic and serene interior design with black as its primary theme.
Our lighting plan centered on how best to use light in order to define black spaces, where controlling luminance balance is essential.
The large takeout counter at the storefront is illuminated using our Filter Lighting Design™ technology to emphasize its position as the face of the restaurant. By combining carefully controlled light qualities, the design enhances its presence and draws the attention of passersby.
Additionally, for the ceiling-mounted lighting fixtures, we employed glare-controlled downlights using our proprietary optical control technology. This ensures that the fixtures remain unobtrusive, allowing customers to experience the effects of the light only, for a more comfortable atmosphere.
Furthermore, by applying our original ModuleX®︎ Controls environmental control technology to deliver optimal lighting at all times of day and night, we created a space where guests can enjoy a calm and relaxing stay.
