ModuleX® lighting was adopted for the NUMBER SUGAR Omotesando
Main Shop, which sells caramel that is numbered based on the flavor
and made with carefully selected natural ingredients.

The floor and utensils, which decide the impression of the space with
a simple layout, are made of bricks and wood,
and such materials invoke caramels.
The client’s request was to make the space show their products
beautifully to catch their customers’ eyes from the outside of the shop.

Using our original Lighting Modulation in Viewing Angle Range® lighting
design method, we developed a lighting plan that seamlessly connects
the space from the outside to the back of the shop by optimizing
balance between natural and artificial light and illuminating its large
white walls with the soft light of wall washer downlights.

By applying ModuleX® Controls, our unique environment control
technology, we controlled the luminance and brightness of artificial light.
We also applied Filter Lighting Design® to remove unnecessary light
from the wall and to lower the gravity center of the light. As a result,
we could make their products outstanding, and realize a very
comfortable and enjoyable space not only in the day time
but also after the sunset.
