ModuleX®︎ lighting was adopted for the newly constructed
“Health & Welfare Building” at the Kawaguchi Plant of Toppan Inc.,
a major Japanese printing technology company.
In response to a request for flat lighting in the cafeteria, which serves
as a multifunction space for employees to meet and interact,
we conducted a detailed verification of illumination for different
functions and areas of the space.
Applying our original Lighting Modulation®︎ in Viewing Angle Range
lighting design method, we arranged the downlights to give the whole
space a uniform brightness, based on our careful consideration of the
psychological impact of visual sensations of the occupants.
The design, featuring wood-finished ceiling and tables that extend like
bands, was created using ModuleX®︎ Filter Lighting®︎
to blend with the space.
Applying our original Gradation Lighting Design™️ method, we designed
the concourse, which features inserted top lights, to take full
advantage of the wrap-around effect resulting from rebound light and
light distribution control. The wood-finished wall along the staircase
is illuminated with soft, graduated light of our ModuleX®︎
Prism Platform®︎ linear lights, which feature reflectors for light
distribution control. Meanwhile, the surface of the spandrel wall
opposite the staircase is beautifully illuminated with linear LED
ConsciLed®︎ lights, to create a very different expression.
