A “student hall” located on the first basement floor of Kogakuin University, Sinjuku Campus underwent a major renovation and re-opened as “B-ICHI” to further enhance communication among users. ModuleX products were installed in this new space.
The design effort of “B-ICHI” was led by the Iijima Research Office, Kogakuin University Faculty of Architecture and its team. Two sections with different purposes, (Campus / Lounge) and (Work Space), are designed to blend in naturally.
Our work was highly rated, since unlike ordinary lighting equipment used in general public space that only pursues efficiency, a series of ModuleX downlight comes with precise glare control technology, enabling beautiful distribution of light. This has realized the provision of appropriate brightness to the work space to help users to focus and concentrate, and to the campus/lounge section to facilitate communication.
